Heating networks 

Dalkia Energia operates heating networks and supply hot water serving more than twenty thousand homes and several hundred business customers in the whole country through its subsidiaries.
Affiliates operate on the basis of concession agreements concluded with the town. Dalkia Energia has majority interest in two and minority share in three of these affiliates.
In this case, consumers are directly the people of the town, and Dalkia Energia concludes service contracts separately with each of them. District heating is provided in accordance with the district heating act, billing is based on actual consumption; in this way, consumers can control the use of their heat center, and thus heating costs.
Thanks to the innovative solutions (choosing the appropriate kind of fuel, investigating alternative energy sources, applying co-generation process with gas engine, remote management) the safety and efficiency of the operation of heating networks improved considerably; environmental issues and energy consumption awareness became of stressed importance.
